Strikezone was a gesture based baseball game where the user takes place in a baseball match as a thrower. The player first gets in to pose and then throws an imaginary ball towards to screen. My algorithm follows the movement of the player and calculates both the ball’s speed and pose’s validity.
I was the sole developer worked with the amazing art team in Moldova and management team in US.
The game setted up in the Dcbel lodge to get attraction at the CES 2022.
- Microsoft Azure Kinect DK used to get the player’s movements.
- Developed a pose detection system by using cosine similarity algorithm.
- Created a throw speed calculation system to follow the movement and calculate the arm speed
- Unity game engine used with the Universal Rendering Pipeline.
- Project started to develop and completed just in a month.
